Officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to Turco’s at approximately 7:10 p.m. on Tuesday evening, June 26, for a report of a larceny.

Investigation into the stolen pie - which was valued at $7 - determined that Yorktown resident Sidney Russ allegedly took the pizza without paying and proceeded to exit the store. He was later tracked down near the grocery store and taken into police custody.

Russ was charged with a misdemeanor count of petit larceny at Yorktown Police Headquarters. Following processing, he was released on his own recognizance and is due back in Yorktown Justice Court this week to answer the charge.
